Experience Fort Loudon Dam like few ever do — from the water. This guided trip begins with a put-in upstream of the dam, where the group will paddle together toward the lock chamber. All participants will be in kayaks and accompanied by Knoxville Adventure Collective staff who will coordinate directly with lock operators and facilitate the entire process. After entering the chamber, you’ll rise or descend with the water level as massive gates open and close around you — an unforgettable perspective on river engineering. The full experience lasts approximately three hours, blending paddling, education, and a true behind-the-scenes river adventure.
